Liu Zhilin 2013 AYOF BB & UB

I'm really liking this gymnast's style. Admittedly I haven't watched all the available AYOF videos yet but this gymnast stood out for me because of her beam combination and her potential to be a good bar worker. At the 2012 Massilia Cup Liu did a very unique and cool wolf jump hop + aerial cartwheel. This time at the AYOF she added a sissone leap after the aerial cartwheel.

BB routine from 2013 AYOF:

UB: It's a shame that her intricate elgrip turns into release skills will no longer be worth 0.2 but now only 0.1. Her work is really clean.

New Russian Senior Yulia Chemareva

One of Russia's new seniors is Yulia Chemareva. She is coached by Marina Nazarova who also coaches Ksenia Afanasyeva and ex-gymnast Ksenia Semenova. Chemareva is basically an uneven bars specialist. She is good on bars and decent on floor exercise. Her beam has potential if she works hard on execution and consistency. She is by far the cleanest bar worker compared to the other new up and coming Russian juniors/seniors. I hope she can be a contender as one of Russia's top gymnasts.

Happy Birthday To Kohei Uchimura

I think it will take a long time before we see another dominate AA gymnast like Uchimura. Uchimura has won a world record of 4 AA titles in a row. He is truly an amazing gymnast. Apparently he is now married and is expecting a child. I hope he will still continue to compete this quad. I wish him all the best in life. He is one of the greatest gymnasts of all time.

I'm not really an artistic guy when it comes to photoshop and making youtube montages so I've been waiting for all the artistic gym fans to hopefully make something for Uchimura. Tumblr is already showing some love for Uchimura. I just reblog :). Here are some photos of Uchimura I found on the internet from '09-'12.

My Blog Turned 1 Today

It has finally been a year since I started this blog. Its been fun. At times I wanted to give up but I've realized that blogging can be useful for archives. It is also fun to blog when I am bored. When I first started this blog I wasn't expecting to get many readers. My aim was to at least get about 1,000 views in a year. It might sound like a small target but I wasn't expecting anyone to really read my blog. My blog as of today has over 29, 000 + views. That's impressive to me. I've never thought I'll reach that much views with my little blog.

I want to thank everyone who has read and still reads my blog. It's a good feeling knowing that there are people around the world who are reading my little blog. I want to thank all the people who linked my posts to their blogs especially Gymnastics Coaching. He is one of the major reasons why my blog is read and gets views. And finally thanks for all the comments, it's nice to read your thoughts and opinions. This past year I got 111 comments, including my own comments. My blog may not have the best grammar but I try to do my best. Thank you everyone and have a Happy New Year!
